Education and Experience
Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work
I received my degree from Rutgers University in 2017. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology and Social Change, from New College of California. Following graduation, I obtained 3200 hours of supervised experience and passed the California Law and Ethics exam and the Association of Social Work Boards Clinical Examination to obtain my license. My Board of Behavioral Sciences LCSW number is 92663.
Experience Across Multiple Settings
In addition to private practice, I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, shelters for unhoused families, community mental health, psychiatric crisis response, with commercially sexually exploited children, justice-involved adults and adolescents, refugees, immigrants and victims of crime. I’ve enjoyed working with humans ages 5 to 85, from all socioeconomic backgrounds, across the gender and sexuality spectrums, and those who have experienced systemic oppression including immigrants, trans and queer people, disabled people, and people who are incarcerated.
Extensive Training and Continuing Education
My areas of expertise include autism and ADHD, trauma, queer and trans affirming care, homeschooling/unschooling, self-harm, suicidality, parenting, shame, perfectionism, burnout, depression and anxiety, rejection sensitivity and persistent drive for autonomy. I serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the Board of Behavioral Sciences and attend numerous trainings and conferences every year. I enjoy dedicating a significant amount of time listening to and learning from the true experts - those with lived experience.
